Viktor J. Andrew High School, from Tinley Park, cruised through to the championship round of the third annual IBJI Sports Medicine Knowledge Bowl. The team entered with only two students but that didn't hold them back. They surprised everyone by taking first place and winning a $250 grant for their schools sports medicine club.
Taking second was New Trier HS Team A and not far behind in third place was Nequa Valley. Other participants included Lyons Township Team A and B, Wheeling High School, Stagg High School, and New Trier HS: Team B.
This is the third year that IBJI has hosted the Sports Medicine Knowledge Bowl. The event fosters an awareness of sports medicine professions, particularly Athletic Training, and gives these clubs an inspiring and challenging venue to show off their knowledge and skills. Best of luck to these great students in all their professional endeavors!
